Rain Shadow Tennessee Chef

$1,830.00

When I find saw blades that aren’t suited for making chef knives, I turn them into something else. In this case, I blended a couple East TN sawmill blades to create a beautiful and tough damascus cladding that is painstakingly laminated over a virgin carbon steel core and copper liner. This striking material features a high contrast presentation finish that is sure to catch your eye. Thin behind the edge and easy to maintain, the blade is balanced with a tapered full tang clad in cutting board cutoffs from a neighbor & Turkish walnut from an old shotgun stock.

  • size: 7 5/16” blade / 12” overall / 2 1/8 heel

  • weight: 180 grams

  • blade: TN lumber mill saw Damascus over carbon steel w/ copper

  • handle: stabilized cutting board cutoff (maple, purple heart, padauk, ebony, wenge), stabilized Turkish walnut burl (Selma, AL shotgun stock
