In this strenuous 4-day class we abandon the power forging equipment and learn to shape hot steel using just hammer and anvil. You will hand forge and finish your own carbon steel 6-8” chefs knife. Learn the basics of hand forging, heat treating, finishing, handle construction & sharpening with demos and instruction from Will with his 10+ years of experience at your side.

WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR? This is a great class for crafts people looking to branch out to new experiences, previous students looking to delve more into the smithing side of things, collectors, chef or knife aficionados who are interested in how a knife is made or anyone who is curious and willing to put in some hard work.
